Delicious English-inspired dessert, layered elegantly in a trifle bowl or individual glasses.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 (8 or 9 inch) white cake layers, baked and cooled
  • 2 pints fresh strawberries
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 pint fresh blueberries
  • 2 bananas
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
  • 1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.25 cup blanched slivered almonds
  • 12 maraschino cherries
Instructions:
  • Firstly, sweeten the sliced strawberries with a sprinkle of sugar. Next, coat the banana slices with refreshing orange juice. Then, blend the pudding mix with milk until velvety. Lastly, cube the cake into 1-inch pieces.
  • Create a delicious and visually appealing trifle by arranging a layer of half the cake cubes at the base of a large glass bowl. Top with half of the strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. Spread half of the pudding over the fruit. Repeat the layers for a stunning dessert centerpiece.
  • Whip the cream in a medium bowl until stiff peaks form. Spread it over the top of the trifle and then garnish with maraschino cherries and slivered almonds.
