Add crunch to blackberry cobbler with chopped pecans and oats in the biscuit topping.
Ingredients:
  • 5 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup cold water
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup cold butter
  • 0.5 cup pecans, chopped
  • 0.5 cup rolled oats
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup hot water
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for baking perfection.
  • Combine blackberries and sugar in a large saucepan, then mix cornstarch with cold water and add to the berries. Cook over medium-high heat until thickened and bubbly, about 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer to a 9x13-inch baking dish and let cool.
  • Combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a mixing bowl. Use a pastry cutter to incorporate cold butter until mixture is crumbly. Gently mix in pecans, oats, and brown sugar until evenly combined. Add hot water and stir until moistened. Spoon batter over blackberries.
  • Bake in the oven until the top is golden brown and the berries are bubbly, for approximately 25 minutes.
