Aussie fairy bread pancake cereal - a fun and colorful twist on the viral TikTok trend.
Ingredients:
  • 150g (1 cup) self raising flour
  • 185ml (3/4 cup) milk
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 20g butter, melted, plus 1 cube, extra, cold
  • 70g (1/4 cup) hundred and thousands
  • Milk, chilled, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, add flour and create a well in the centre. Pour in the milk and egg. Mix slowly until a smooth batter forms. Fold in the butter until fully combined. Let it sit for 10 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Transfer the batter into a clean sauce bottle or piping bag.
  • Warm up a large frying pan over gentle heat. Wrap the additional cube of chilled butter in a paper towel and use it to lightly coat the pan. Keep the butter aside for later use.
  • Drop small circles of pancake batter into the pan, leaving space for spreading. Sprinkle each pancake with colorful hundred and thousands. Cook for about 2 minutes until the top is set, bubbles start to form, and the bottom is golden brown.
  • Gently flip pancakes, cooking for a brief moment until perfectly cooked. Continue the process with the rest of the batter and sprinkle with colorful hundreds and thousands.
  • Portion the pancake cereal into individual serving bowls and generously garnish with the remaining colorful hundreds and thousands. Accompany with a pour of cold milk.
