Fantales brownie recipe

Indulge in warm, gooey caramel brownies with soft Fantale centres straight from the oven for the ultimate treat.
Ingredients:
  • 220g Fantales lollies
  • 200g dark cooking chocolate, chopped
  • 140g (2/3 cup firmly packed) brown sugar
  • 150g (1 cup) plain flour
  • 100g (2/3 cup) self-raising flour
  • Fantales ice-cream, to serve
  • Caramel sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C fan forced. Grease a square 20cm cake pan and line it with baking paper. Set aside 16 whole Fantales and finely chop the rest.
  • In a medium saucepan, gently melt butter and chocolate together over low heat until smooth. Take off the heat and stir in sugar until fully dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool for 10 minutes.
  • Mix eggs into the chocolate mixture, followed by sifted flours until well combined. Gently fold in finely chopped Fantales. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan. Press reserved Fantales into rows on the surface. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until lightly firm to the touch. Allow to cool in the pan for 20 minutes. Serve with Fantales ice-cream and a generous drizzle of caramel sauce.
