Easy Filipino fried chicken with crispy chicken wings marinated in simple ingredients for a flavorful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate (such as Ajinomoto®)
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 0.5 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce (such as Aloha™ Shoyu)
  • 10 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 pounds chicken wings
  • vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix together cornstarch, sugar, flour, salt, and monosodium glutamate. Add eggs, green onions, soy sauce, and garlic. Pat chicken dry and coat it with the sauce. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight to marinate.
  • Preheat oil to 350 degrees F in a deep-fryer or large saucepan. Fry chicken until golden brown and crispy, about 15-25 minutes. Ensure it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F near the bone using a thermometer.
