Make elegant flower-shaped cookies using Gold Medal® all-purpose flour for a unique treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons lemon extract or vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • Betty Crocker™ gel food colors, if desired
  • Betty Crocker™ Decor Selects sugar sequins, sugar crystals or assorted decors, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl using an electric mixer until smooth, or mix by hand. Add flour, lemon extract, salt, and egg. Mix in food coloring to tint the dough to your liking.
  • Load the dough into the cookie press. Create multicolored cookies by alternating 1-inch balls of different colored dough in the press. Form your chosen flower shapes on an ungreased cookie sheet and add candies as decorations to resemble flowers.
  • Bake for 6 to 9 minutes until just set, then transfer immediately from the baking sheet to a wire rack.
