Fonio Breakfast Porridge

Fonio porridge with dried fruits, coconut, cinnamon, and nuts for a nutritious breakfast.
Ingredients:
0.25 cupwalnuts
0.25 cupalmonds
2cups water
1cupfonio grains
4dates, pitted and chopped
1cupmilk
0.5 cupraisins
0.5 cupdried cranberries
0.5 cupfresh blueberries
6tablespoons milk
6tablespoons shreddedcoconut
6teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions:
Toast a medley of walnuts and almonds in a skillet over gentle heat for 4 to 5 minutes. Coarsely chop into sizable pieces and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, combine water and fonio, stirring until smooth. Mix in dates and bring to a gentle boil, crushing the dates as you stir. Lower the heat once dates start to dissolve. Stir in 1 cup milk, raisins, and cranberries. Simmer and stir frequently until fonio absorbs all the liquid, approximately 8 minutes.
Portion the porridge into 6 bowls and garnish each with a generous sprinkle of toasted nuts, blueberries, 1 tablespoon of milk, coconut, and a dash of cinnamon on top before serving.
