Ultimate football season appetizer: Frito pie with homemade chili, quick and customizable.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup chili beans
Instructions:
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown ground beef until crumbly for 5 to 7 minutes. Drain grease. Add water, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix in beans and cook for another 3 minutes until heated through.
  • Separate the corn chips into 4 bowls, generously layer with the chili mix, and then sprinkle with diced onions, jalapeño slices, and Cheddar cheese. Serve promptly.
