Indulgent frosting with coconut and walnuts for a classic German chocolate cake.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, mix half and half, butter, sugar, yolks, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until it boils. Remove from heat, then add coconut and walnuts. Let it cool to room temperature before frosting the cake.
