Decadent coconut-pecan frosting perfect for German chocolate cake, or any dessert craving a rich, sweet topping.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, meld together milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter, and vanilla. Stir regularly until creamy and thickened, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • After taking the mixture off the heat, gently fold in the coconut and pecans. Allow the flavors to meld for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, before proceeding with the next steps.
