Spicy smoky mini chili pups, perfect for game day snacking.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 1 (14 ounce) package Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokies® Smoked Sausage
  • 1 (15 ounce) can no-bean chili
  • 1.5 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 white onion, chopped
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar sliced pickled jalapenos
Instructions:
  • Cut the thawed dough into 36 to 40 one-inch pieces. Shape each piece into a small oval and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover with greased plastic wrap and allow to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Combine egg with 1 teaspoon water, then delicately brush the surface of each roll. Bake until beautifully golden, approximately 15 minutes.
  • Brown Lit'l Smokies in a skillet over medium-high heat. Simultaneously, heat chili in a saucepan over medium heat until hot.
  • Slice each roll open down the top without cutting all the way through. Stuff each roll with a smoked sausage, add a spoonful of chili, and top with cheddar cheese, onion, and jalapenos for a tasty finish.
