Garlic and basil infused deviled eggs topped with crispy bacon.
Ingredients:
  • 12 eggs
  • 2 large cloves garlic, pressed
  • 5 slices bacon
  • 0.5 cup finely chopped fresh basil
  • 0.33333334326744 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 teaspoon paprika for garnish
Instructions:
  • In a single layer, add the eggs to a saucepan and fill with water until the eggs are covered by 1 inch. Boil the water over high heat, then set aside off the heat and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 15 minutes. Drain and cool the eggs under cold running water. Once chilled, peel the eggs and halve them lengthwise. Scoop out the yolks into a bowl and mash them with pressed garlic using a fork.
  • In a large, deep skillet, brown the bacon over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes until crispy. Drain on paper towels and chop once cooled. Mix the chopped bacon with the mashed egg yolks, basil, mayonnaise, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper until well combined. Fill the egg white halves with the mixture and sprinkle each stuffed egg with paprika.
