Tangy lime and garlic add zesty flavor to fresh asparagus for an easy stovetop dish this spring.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium shallot, minced
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 0.25 lime, juiced
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, combine butter and olive oil until melted. Add garlic and shallots, cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Add asparagus and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Squeeze lime juice over asparagus, season with salt and pepper, then transfer to a serving plate.
