"Delicious marinated smoked shrimp, infused with butter, garlic, and cooked to perfection in just 30 minutes in the smoker."
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.125 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 thin strips lemon peel
  • 5 sprigs fresh thyme
Instructions:
  • Coat shrimp in Cajun seasoning and olive oil in a sealed plastic bag, ensuring even distribution. Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Preheat the smoker to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C and add wood chips following the manufacturer's guidance.
  • Melt butter in the microwave until smooth, about 20-30 seconds. Stir in lemon peel, garlic, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  • Lay out the shrimp neatly in an 8x10-inch aluminum pan, placing thyme sprigs between each row. Pour the delicious butter mixture over the shrimp.
  • Cook the shrimp in the preheated smoker until they are firm and turn orange-pink, approximately 30 minutes. Be careful not to overcook to avoid the shrimp becoming rubbery. Serve promptly.
