Indulge in irresistible lemon bars that will have you craving more after just one bite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch square baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper or nonstick aluminum foil.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, lemon zest, salt, and baking powder. Add butter, eggs, lemon juice, and vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Then, cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes until completely cool.
  • In a bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest to make the glaze. Pour the glaze over the brownies and let it set at room temperature for about 20 minutes until hardened. Cut the brownies into 2-inch squares.
