Blueberry sorbet scoops elevate this tangy, quick dessert. Ready in under an hour.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen (thawed) blueberries
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine or cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 pints (3 cups) lemon sorbet or sherbet
Instructions:
  • Heat blueberries, wine, sugar, and cinnamon in a small saucepan over medium-high heat until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until blueberries are tender.
  • In a small bowl, mix water and cornstarch until smooth; add to blueberry mixture. Cook and stir for about 1 minute until thickened. Allow to cool for 30 minutes until slightly warm, or cool completely.
  • Serve scoops of refreshing sorbet in elegant dessert dishes and generously drizzle each serving with luscious blueberry sauce. Enjoy immediately for a delightful treat!
