Refreshing Meyer lemon sorbet with a bold citrus kick, perfect for a hot day.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed juice from meyer lemons (about 3-4 lemons)
Instructions:
  • Prepare a flavorful simple syrup by heating sugar, lemon zest, and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves. Set it aside to cool and then strain out the lemon zest.
  • Mix in the zesty lemon juice and chill the mixture in the refrigerator or by placing it in a metal bowl over an ice bath.
  • For ice cream maker: Freeze the chilled mixture according to the manufacturer's instructions. Without ice cream maker: Freeze the mixture until semi-solid, fluff it up with a fork, then process in a food processor until smooth. Freeze in an airtight container until ready to serve.
  • Presentation: Use a melon-baller to scoop out the mixture elegantly. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
