Elevate classic brownies with festive peppermint filling and gluten-free frosting for a delightful holiday dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Gluten Free Chocolate Brownie Mix
  • Butter and eggs as called for on brownie box
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract
  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups gluten free powdered sugar
  • 1 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Line the pan with aluminum foil and grease the bottom with shortening. Follow the brownie mix instructions on the box using butter and eggs for an 8- or 9-inch square pan. Allow to cool for 1 hour before serving.
  • Combine sweetened condensed milk and peppermint extract in a medium bowl. Gradually mix in powdered sugar using an electric mixer. Transfer mixture onto powdered sugar-covered surface and gently knead to form a smooth ball. Press mixture evenly onto brownies.
  • Smooth the luscious frosting over the brownies. Gently lift the brownies out of the pan using the aluminum foil and place them on a cutting board. Use a long sharp knife to slice the brownies into squares, creating 4 rows by 4 rows.
