Transform store-bought doughnuts into a stunning dessert in just 10 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 40g butter
  • 3 small pink lady apples, quartered, cored, cut into thin wedges
  • 40.20 gm golden syrup, plus extra, to serve
  • 18.40 gm chopped walnuts
  • 4 bought cinnamon doughnuts, halved horizontally
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice-cream
Instructions:
  • In a small frying pan over medium heat, melt butter. Add apples and cook for 2 minutes per side until tender and lightly golden. Drizzle with 2 tsp golden syrup and toss to coat. Transfer apples to a plate using a slotted spoon, keeping pan juices.
  • Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of golden syrup to the pan and combine with the reserved pan juices. Toss in the walnuts and cook, stirring, for 1 minute until they are toasted and well coated.
  • Lay the apples evenly on 4 doughnut halves, then cover with the remaining halves. Top each doughnut with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle extra syrup and pan juices over them. Finish by sprinkling with walnuts.
