Grandma's easy chicken and broccoli casserole: frozen veggies, instant rice, creamy soup, and cheesy sauce - perfect for a quick and delicious meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup frozen chopped onions, thawed
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 (12 ounce) package frozen broccoli florets, thawed
  • 4 large cooked chicken breasts, shredded
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 6 ounces processed cheese sauce (such as Cheez Whiz®)
  • 1 cup uncooked instant rice (such as Minute®)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until sizzling. Cook the onions and celery until they are tender and fragrant, for about 10 minutes.
  • Cut broccoli florets into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl. Combine with shredded chicken, condensed soup, cheese sauce, uncooked rice, water, and sauteed vegetables. Stir well and transfer to a casserole dish.
  • Place in the oven, uncovered, and bake for 1 hour until perfectly cooked.
