Elevate coconut macaroons with crunchy corn flakes folded in for a unique twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg white
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup cornflakes cereal
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius).
  • Prepare the baking sheet by greasing it.
  • Use an electric hand-mixer to whip the egg white in a bowl until stiff peaks are formed.
  • Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, to egg whites, beating until fully incorporated. Stir in salt and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gently mix in coconut and corn flakes until combined.
  • Spoon small amounts of the coconut mixture onto the lined baking sheet.
  • Bake cookies in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until lightly crisp.
  • Allow cookies to transition to a wire rack for optimal cooling for a minimum of 15 minutes.
