Moist banana bread with applesauce, warm cinnamon and nutmeg. Add raisins and walnuts for extra flair.
Ingredients:
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.33333334326744 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and prepare a 9x5 inch loaf pan by greasing and flouring it lightly.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and white sugar in a large bowl. Mix in eggs, applesauce, bananas, and vanilla extract. Add raisins and nuts if desired. Transfer batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, for 45 to 60 minutes in a preheated oven.
