Granny's cookies with a soft cake-like texture, perfect with pink icing or any other colorful frostings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare a greased cookie sheet.
  • Combine margarine and sugar in a large bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in milk and vanilla. Then, fold in a mixture of flour, salt, and baking powder until fully combined. Finally, scoop heaping spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a prepared cookie sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes until the cookie tops spring back when touched. Cool on wire racks before frosting.
