Blanched green beans tossed in a savory basil butter sauce with juicy cherry tomatoes. Delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds green beans, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 0.75 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper
  • 1.5 teaspoons chopped fresh basil
  • 2 cups cherry tomato halves
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, combine beans and water. Bring to a boil with the lid on. Reduce heat to low and simmer until tender, approximately 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until sizzling. Stir in sugar, garlic salt, pepper, and fragrant basil leaves. Add the tomatoes and cook until softened. Pour this flavorful mixture over the green beans and toss gently to combine.
