Prep the grill early for savory shrimp skewers as a delicious appetizer at your barbecue.
Ingredients:
  • 20 (6-inch) bamboo skewers
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic-pepper blend
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 bag (2 lb) frozen uncooked medium (31 to 35 count) shrimp, peeled (tail shells removed) and deveined, thawed
Instructions:
  • Prepare your skewers by soaking them in water for 30 minutes to ensure they don't burn. As you do this, start heating up your gas or charcoal grill.
  • Combine the honey, butter, garlic-pepper blend, and chives in a small bowl until well mixed. Thread about 3 shrimp onto each skewer, ensuring there is a 1/4-inch space between each shrimp. Brush both sides of the shrimp with the honey-butter mixture.
  • Grill skewers over medium heat until shrimp turn pink, turning once, for about 5 to 7 minutes. Serve warm.
