Savor a savory beef burger with mushrooms in just 35 minutes for a delectable slow-cooked meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package (8 oz) sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 large garlic cloves, sliced or finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 6 burger buns, split
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat gas or charcoal grill to medium heat.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, sizzle butter over medium-high heat. Toss in mushrooms, soy sauce, and garlic; sauté until mushrooms are tender and liquid reduces. Set aside to stay warm.
  • Form beef into 6 patties that are 1/2 inch thick. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Grill patties with medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping once, until a meat thermometer inserted into the center reads 160°F. Top burgers with cheese slices, cover, and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing them in buns, then evenly distribute the cooked mushrooms over them. Finally, top with tomatoes and onion.
