Excite your taste buds with a savory sugar and spice herb marinade for juicy grilled steak.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine or Progresso™ beef flavored broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 boneless beef sirloin steak, about 1 inch thick (2 lb)
  • 2 medium red onions, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 package (4 oz) crumbled feta cheese (1 cup)
  • Chopped fresh parsley, if desired
Instructions:
  • Combine all marinade ingredients in a shallow glass or plastic dish or resealable plastic bag. Use a fork to pierce the beef several times on both sides. Add the beef and onions to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag, refrigerate, and turn the beef occasionally. Marinate for at least 8 hours, but no longer than 24 hours.
  • Preheat a gas or charcoal grill. Take out the beef and onions from the marinade, keeping the marinade aside. Place the beef and onions on the grill. Grill covered over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes until medium-rare, while basting with the marinade and flipping once. Dispose of any extra marinade.
  • Thinly slice beef against the grain. Sprinkle with tangy feta and fresh parsley. Serve with crisp onion slices.
