Grilled Stuffed French Bread

Make a gourmet cheesy pesto grilled bread using a French loaf for a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer!
Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf (8 ounces) or 1/2 loaf (1-pound size) unsliced French bread
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomato pesto or basil pesto
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your grill for direct heat. Coat an 18-inch piece of heavy-duty foil with cooking spray.
  • 1. Slice the bread loaf diagonally into 12 slices, leaving about 1/2 inch intact at the bottom. 2. Generously spread pesto on both sides of each slice. 3. Sprinkle the slices with cheese. 4. Wrap the loaf tightly in foil before baking.
  • Grill the bread on medium heat, uncovered, until hot, turning once, for about 10 minutes, positioned 5 to 6 inches from the heat source.
