Grilled tropical fruits

Transport your taste buds to the tropics with a delicious grilled fruit salad.
Ingredients:
  • 50g butter
  • 1/2 pineapple, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 papaya, deseeded, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 2 bananas, peeled, diagonally sliced
  • 55g (1/3 cup) finely chopped palm sugar
  • 40.00 ml Malibu coconut liqueur
  • Lemon sorbet, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a sizzling frying pan, melt half of the butter until it shimmers. Add pineapple, papaya, and banana slices, cooking for about 1 minute per side or until beautifully caramelized. Plate and serve.
  • Melt the rest of the butter over medium heat until it foams. Stir in sugar and cook for 2 minutes until it dissolves. Pour in Malibu and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce boils.
  • Drizzle sauce over fruit and serve with lemon sorbet for a refreshing treat.
