Effortlessly create a stunning cake for any celebration.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix (or your favorite flavor)
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • Tray or cardboard (15x12 inches), covered with wrapping paper and plastic food wrap or foil
  • 2 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Yellow and blue food colors
  • 1 roll Betty Crocker™ Fruit by the Foot™ Berry Tie-Dye® chewy fruit snack (from 4.5-oz box)
  • Assorted decorations (licorice pieces, Betty Crocker™ candy decors, yellow shot, candy-coated almonds)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan), then prepare and bake the cake according to the instructions on the box for a 13x9-inch pan. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then gently loosen the cake by running a knife around the sides and transfer it to a cooling rack. Allow the cake to cool completely for about 1 hour. For easier handling, chill the cake in the refrigerator or freezer for 30 to 60 minutes until firm.
  • Color 1/3 cup of frosting with yellow food coloring and the rest with blue food coloring. Put the yellow frosting in a resealable plastic bag. Take the cake out of the freezer. Trim the top of the cake with a serrated knife to make it level, then flip the cake over. Mark sections on the cake with toothpicks and cut accordingly. (Refer to an online guide for visual instructions, if needed.)
  • Arrange the largest cake piece on a tray. Position a 1 1/2-inch strip of cake along the top edge of the jeans and trim off any extra. Place the cake triangles along the outer edges of the legs. Secure the cake pieces with a dab of blue frosting. Spread a thin layer of blue frosting to coat the cake and trap any crumbs. Chill in the refrigerator or freezer for 30 to 60 minutes to firm up the frosting. Finish frosting the entire cake. Optionally, use a fork or decorating comb to add a fabric-like texture.
  • Prepare the fruit snack by cutting it into 8-inch and 6-inch lengths. Place the fruit snack pieces on the top edge of the cake, overlapping them in the center to create a belt. Use a small corner of the yellow frosting bag to pipe frosting for the pocket, zipper, and cuff stitching. Decorate the cake with candies as desired. Store the cake loosely covered.
