Spice up the classic American dish with tangy goat cheese and fiery habanero pepper.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 4 mushrooms, diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small orange bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch green onions, diced
  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 0.25 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 ounces goat cheese
  • 1 habanero pepper, diced
  • 0.25 cup bread crumbs
  • 0.5 (8 ounce) package extra sharp Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine sirloin, tomato, mushrooms, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, orange bell pepper, garlic, green onion, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, egg, cilantro, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix together using your hands until evenly incorporated. Shape the mixture into a cylinder the size of a loaf pan. Create a center channel in the loaf and add goat cheese and diced habanero pepper. Roll up, folding the cheese and pepper into the center of the loaf. Place in a loaf pan and sprinkle 1/4 cup bread crumbs on top. Surround the loaf with Cheddar cheese slices and top with jalapeno pepper slices.
  • Bake the meat loaf in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until fully cooked and no longer pink. Make sure the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F (70 degrees C) when checked with an instant-read thermometer. Let it rest for 7 to 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
