Spooky Rat-Shaped Meatloaves: Mini meatloaves filled with gooey cheese, shaped like rats and baked in tomato sauce. Finished with spaghetti noodle tails and carrot ears for a creepy yet delicious Halloween dish that will impress your guests.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 0.5 onion, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) packet meatloaf seasoning mix
  • 1 cup cubed Cheddar cheese
  • 3 (10 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ounce uncooked spaghetti, broken into fourths
  • 0.5 carrot, cut into 1/8-inch thick slices
  • 1 tablespoon frozen green peas
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine ground beef, onion, egg, bread crumbs, and meatloaf seasoning in a large bowl. Mix well using your hands. Portion out 1/3 cup of the mixture, wrap around a cube of cheese, shape into a rat-like figure, and place in a baking dish. Repeat with the remaining mixture. Insert uncooked spaghetti pieces for tails.
  • Combine tomato sauce, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a medium bowl. Pour the mixture over the rats in the dish and cover with a lid or aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, basting with the sauce to glaze the dish.
  • Warm the peas and carrots in a small bowl in the microwave for about 15 seconds while the rats finish baking.
  • Gently move the quail to a serving platter to keep their tails intact. Create eyes with peas and ears with carrot slices. Drizzle tomato sauce around the quails before serving.
