Delicious noodle kugel with apple, pear, cranberries, and cinnamon custard - a cozy harvest pie in every bite!
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 0.5 (8 ounce) package wide egg noodles
  • 1 large apple - peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 large pear - peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 0.5 cup applesauce
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg, or to taste
  • 0.33333334326744 cup dried cranberries
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Coat the 8x8-inch baking dish in luxurious melted butter.
  • 1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook egg noodles for about 5 minutes until al dente. Drain.
  • Combine the apple, pear, and lemon juice in a bowl; let it sit for a moment.
  • Combine milk, eggs, applesauce, white sugar, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg in a large bowl and beat until just combined.
  • Combine the cranberries, egg noodles, and apple mixture with the egg mixture. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover it with aluminum foil before baking.
  • Bake noodle pudding in a perfectly preheated oven until it sets, for about 35 to 45 minutes.
  • Uncover the pudding and bake it in the oven for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool to room temperature or enjoy it chilled.
