Spread love with adorable heart-shaped cake pops.
Ingredients:
  • 450g buttercake
  • 62.50 ml ready-made vanilla frosting (see note)
  • 332.50 gm White Choc Melts
  • 285.00 gm Dark Choc Melts
  • 40.00 ml white, pink and red sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Crumble cake with your hands in a bowl until finely textured. Add vanilla frosting and stir until mixed. Use your hands to shape mixture into a 10cm disc.
  • Prepare two baking trays by lining them with baking paper. Roll out the dough between two sheets of baking paper until it is 1.5cm thick. Use a 3cm x 4cm heart-shaped cutter to cut out heart shapes from the dough, rerolling and cutting any leftover dough scraps. Arrange the heart-shaped cutouts on the prepared baking trays.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat 1/4 cup of white chocolate melts on MEDIUM (50%) power for 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds with a metal spoon until smooth. Dip 2cm of one end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert one stick into each heart. Place them back on the tray and freeze for 20 minutes or until firm.
  • Put the rest of the white chocolate melts in a microwave-safe mug. Microwave on MEDIUM (50%) for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every 1 minute with a metal spoon, until smooth. Quickly dip half of the hearts, one at a time, into the melted chocolate. Tap the stick on the side of the mug to remove excess chocolate. Lightly sprinkle with sprinkles. Insert the stick into foam and let them stand for 10 minutes until set. Repeat the process with dark chocolate melts and the rest of the hearts. Serve and enjoy.
