Return home to a flavorful one-pan meal of seasoned chicken and tasty veggies.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds bone-in chicken pieces, skin removed
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken with herbs soup
  • 4 sweet potatoes or yams, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 package (6 ounces) stuffing mix for chicken
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
  • 1 cup frozen (thawed) cut green beans
Instructions:
  • Add the chicken to a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. Pour soup over the chicken and layer sweet potatoes on top. Combine stuffing mix, water, and margarine; then spread over the sweet potatoes.
  • Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours until the potatoes are tender and the chicken juices run clear when cut through the thickest pieces.
  • Spread the green beans evenly on top of the stuffing. Cook covered on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes until the beans are tender.
