Whip up a quick and delicious microwave dessert for a sweet fix in minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 117.98 gm honey
  • 131.25 gm orange juice
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary, leaves removed
  • 2 medium navel oranges
  • 400g madeira cake
  • Whipped cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix together honey, orange juice, 1/4 cup cold water, and rosemary leaves. Stir occasionally and bring to a simmer. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Peel oranges with a small knife, removing the rind and white pith. Cut alongside the membranes to free the orange segments.
  • Slice the cake into 8 1cm-thick slices and arrange on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on HIGH for 30-40 seconds until warm. Enjoy the cozy indulgence of warm cake in no time!
  • Place the cake slices elegantly on individual serving plates, and generously drizzle half of the delicious syrup over them. Serve the warm cake with the rest of the syrup, along with fresh orange segments and a dollop of cream. Enjoy this indulgent treat!
