Indulge in a delightful dessert and cheese board combo for the perfect sweet and savory final course option.
Ingredients:
  • 6 figs, quartered
  • 30g hazelnuts
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) honey
  • 0.63 gm ground cinnamon
  • 200g sheep's milk feta, thinly sliced lengthways
  • Mint leaves, to serve
  • Almond bread, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 180°C and toast hazelnuts on a baking tray for 8 minutes until golden. Rub hazelnuts in a clean tea towel to remove skins, then coarsely chop.
  • In a frying pan over medium heat, warm up the honey and cinnamon for 2 minutes. Then, add the fig and cook for 1 minute, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  • Crumble feta over serving plates, sprinkle with pepper. Spoon fig mixture on top, then garnish with hazelnuts and mint. Enjoy with almond bread.
