Moist orange and cinnamon cake, best enjoyed fresh from the oven.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup melted butter
  • 0.66666668653488 cup orange juice
  • 1 orange, zested
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 10-inch round cake pan.
  • Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, 1 tablespoon flour, and 1 tablespoon melted butter in a small bowl.
  • Combine 2 cups of flour, white sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. In another bowl, mix melted butter, orange juice, orange zest, and eggs. Stir the butter mixture into the flour mixture until fully combined. Pour into cake pan and sprinkle with brown sugar mixture.
  • Bake until golden and a knife comes out clean, approximately 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
