Total Time:
Savory pork chops seared, then cooked in a flavorful sauce of sherry, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and bay leaf, enriched with tangy sour cream.
Ingredients:
  • 4 pork chops
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup dry sherry
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 bay leaf
Instructions:
  • Season the pork chops with a pinch of salt and pepper. Coat the seasoned chops in flour. Heat oil in a large skillet and sear the chops until golden brown, optionally covering the skillet with a lid. Discard any excess fat.
  • Combine sour cream, sherry, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and bay leaf in a bowl. Pour the mixture over the chops in the skillet. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour until the chops are tender and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) when tested with a thermometer.
