Crunchy iceberg wedges topped with vibrant tomatoes, green onions, and drizzled with a warm, sweet and tangy bacon dressing.
Ingredients:
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, cored and quartered
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1.5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup red wine vinegar
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Place crisp lettuce wedges elegantly on plates and generously crown each one with fresh tomato and vibrant green onion pieces.
  • Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels, chop when cool, and transfer to a bowl.
  • In a hot skillet over medium heat, combine brown sugar, red wine vinegar, salt, and black pepper until the brown sugar dissolves. Add bacon to the dressing, adjust seasoning, and pour the hot bacon dressing over lettuce wedges.
