Indonesian-style steak stir-fry - a delicious vacation for your tastebuds.
Ingredients:
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 600g beef rump steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 large carrot, cut into matchsticks
  • 60ml kecap manis
  • 60ml rice wine vinegar
  • 150g snow peas, sliced
  • 1/4 small Chinese cabbage, thinly sliced
  • Steamed rice, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a wok or large, deep frypan over medium-high heat, heat 2 teaspoons of oil until hot. Stir-fry half of the beef for about 1 minute until browned all over. Remove from pan and repeat with the remaining beef using the rest of the oil.
  • - Lower the heat and toss in the coriander, garlic, and carrot. Sauté for 1 minute until aromatic. Pour in the kecap manis, vinegar, and snow peas, and let it simmer for 2 minutes until the snow peas turn bright green. Take it off the heat and gently mix in the beef and cabbage.
  • Enjoy with a side of fluffy white rice.
