Quick and flavorful Instant Pot® kalua pig for juicy pulled pork in no time.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (5 pound) boneless pork loin roast
  • 1.5 tablespoons Hawaiian sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
Instructions:
  • Place the roast in a multi-functional pressure cooker like Instant Pot®. Season generously with Hawaiian sea salt and use a fork or knife to pierce the meat all over. Drizzle with liquid smoke, then seal the lid securely. Cook on high pressure for 120 minutes following the manufacturer's guidelines, allowing the pressure to build for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the natural-release method for about 15 minutes. Unlock and carefully remove the lid, then transfer the roast to a plate.
  • If desired, remove any excess fat from the meat and gently shred it using 2 forks into a serving bowl.
  • Use a fat separator to skim off the fat from the cooking liquid, then generously pour the defatted liquid over the meat.
