Delicious Italian twist on BLT, featuring prosciutto, spinach, tomatoes, and flavorful pesto ricotta spread.
Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic granules
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 12 ounces prosciutto
  • 1/3 cup ricotta
  • 1 tablespoon pesto
Instructions:
  • Cut the bread diagonally to yield 12 slices.
  • Brush the bread slices with olive oil and sprinkle with a blend of Italian seasoning and garlic granules.
  • Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat, then grill the bread oil-side-down until grill marks form, about 3 minutes. Transfer the bread to a board.
  • Combine fresh spinach and fragrant basil leaves into a colorful mixture. Distribute the leafy mixture evenly on top of 6 slices of bread. Layer these bread slices with savory prosciutto, juicy sliced tomatoes, and rich sliced mozzarella, creating a delicious symphony of flavors.
  • Combine the flavorful pesto and creamy ricotta in a small bowl. Spread a heaping 1 tablespoon of the mixture on the remaining 6 bread slices, then place them on top of each sandwich.
