Transforming classic meatball sandwich ingredients into a mouthwatering, crowd-pleasing favorite with zero leftovers.
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup chopped green onions
  • 0.25 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf Italian bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cups spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C).
  • Combine onions, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and ground beef, shaping into 1-inch balls. Arrange in a baking pan and bake until beef is cooked through, about 15-20 minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spread a creamy mixture of cream cheese, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning, and black pepper over the bread cubes, then top with grated mozzarella cheese.
  • Combine spaghetti sauce, water, and garlic in a large bowl. Gently mix in meatballs. Pour over bread and cheese in the baking pan. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30 minutes, or until heated through.
