Italian Sausage and Green Beans

Elevate Hamburger Helper® with a few simple additions for a quick and delicious dinner!
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper™ cheesy Italian shells
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 1/3 cups hot water
  • 1 bag (12 oz) frozen cut green beans, thawed
  • 1 medium tomato, coarsely chopped (3/4 cup)
Instructions:
  • In a 10-inch skillet, sauté the sausage over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often, until fully cooked; then drain any excess grease.
  • Combine the uncooked pasta and sauce mix from the Hamburger Helper box with milk and hot water in a pot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add green beans, cover, and continue to simmer for 10 more minutes until the beans and pasta are tender. Finally, stir in the tomato and remove from heat.
  • Cover the dish and allow it to rest for 5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
