Irresistible jalapeno popper pig shots: bacon-wrapped sausage filled with spicy jalapeno, a flavor explosion!
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb smoked sausage
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 3 jalapenos
  • 1lb thick cut bacon, 12 slices, cut in half
  • ¼ cup spicy bbq sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect temperature to start cooking.
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, Cajun seasoning, and sour cream. Finely chop and add 1 jalapeno to the mixture. Stir well to combine. Transfer the mixture into a large ziplock bag.
  • Cut a small hole in the bag and squeeze out 2 teaspoons of cheese mixture onto each sausage. Wrap each sausage with bacon and place in mini muffin pan cups. Finally, add a thin slice of jalapeno on top of each "shot."
  • Combine BBQ sauce, honey, and brown sugar in a small bowl. Brush the BBQ mixture over pig shots and bake until the bacon is crispy, approximately 45 minutes.
  • Allow the dish to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving to enhance its crispiness.
