Tender beef short ribs slow-cooked to perfection, then grilled for a mouthwatering smoky twist.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds bone-in beef short ribs
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.25 cup cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar, or more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine beef ribs with onions, tomato sauce, water, vinegar, sugar, parsley, horseradish, mustard, salt, and black pepper. Remove excess air, seal the bag, and marinate in the refrigerator overnight, turning occasionally.
  • In a large pot, bring the beef and marinade to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until the beef is tender and falling off the bones, about 2 hours. Using a slotted spoon, remove the beef from the liquid.
  • Heat up your outdoor grill until it reaches a medium-high temperature, then give the grate a light coating of oil.
  • Place the beef on the hot grill and cook until it's nicely browned all over, which should take about 10 minutes.
