Elevate meatloaf with hidden veggies, like carrots, and flavor it with teriyaki sauce for a simple and tasty dish.
Ingredients:
  • 275g packet Taste Meal Kit Japanese Teriyaki Meatballs
  • 500g beef mince
  • 2 large carrots, peeled, coarsely grated
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 1 green shallot, thinly sliced diagonally
  • Sesame seeds, toasted, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Grease a 7cm-deep, 9.5 x 19cm loaf pan. Line the base and sides with baking paper, leaving a 3cm overhang on each side.
  • Combine the meal kit meatball seasoning, beef, carrot, egg, and 2 tablespoons of water in a large bowl, stirring until fully mixed.
  • Transfer the mixture into the pan and use a dessert spoon to press and smooth the surface. Bake for 40 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring the meatloaf to a serving plate.
  • Heat the meal kit sauce in a microwave-safe bowl on High for 1 minute or until warmed.
  • Drizzle the fragrant teriyaki sauce over the meatloaf and evenly coat the top. Sprinkle with shallots and sesame seeds for added aroma and texture. Slice and present for a delightful meal.
