Easy and delicious thick crust pizza dough recipe for a chewy, soft crust with crispy exterior, ideal for any toppings.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2.25 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 0.5 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3.3333332538605 cups all-purpose flour, divided
Instructions:
  • Combine warm water, yeast, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl, allowing it to sit for 10 minutes.
  • Combine the oil and salt with the yeast mixture. Gradually add 2 1/2 cups of flour, stirring until well combined. Transfer the dough to a clean, floured surface and knead, gradually incorporating the remaining flour until the dough is smooth and not sticky. Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl.
  • Cover the dough with a towel and allow it to rise until it has doubled in size, which takes approximately 1 hour.
  • Gently press down on the dough and shape it into a compact ball. Let the dough rest for 1 minute before rolling it out.
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) for perfectly cooked deliciousness.
  • For pizza stone baking, top the dough and bake right away. For pan baking, oil the pan lightly, let the dough rise for 15 to 20 minutes, then top and bake.
  • Bake until the cheese is melty, and the crust is golden brown in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
