Enhance treats with gumdrops and cookie cutters for a magical touch.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bag (10 oz) white vanilla baking chips (1 2/3 cups)
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Edible glitter, if desired
  • About 1/2 cup assorted small gumdrops
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and lightly flour a 13x9-inch pan with shortening for easy release.
  • In a sturdy 2-quart saucepan, gently melt the baking chips and butter over low heat, stirring often, until fully melted (don't worry if it looks slightly curdled). Take off the heat and let it cool slightly. Mix in the flour, sugar, vanilla, salt, and eggs. Transfer the mixture to a pan.
  • Bake for 24 to 27 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack, approximately 1 hour.
  • Spread a generous layer of frosting on top of the dessert, then sprinkle it with shimmering edible glitter. Flatten some gumdrops by gently pressing them with the bottom of a glass, and use a star-shaped cutter to create decorative gumdrop stars. Arrange the gumdrop stars and whole gumdrops (as jewels) on top of the frosting to enhance the visual appeal. To create bars, cut the dessert into 8 rows by 4 rows.
